The Kinship Series – Hunter Laing & Co.


The Brief

Create a brand and versatile packaging solution for a limited edition collection of 6 single malt Scotch whiskies, to be bottled and released annually by Hunter Laing and Co.

The Outcome

The Kinship Series is inspired by the fellowship between Hunter Laing and Co.'s founding brother's and the many distillers on Islay. Each of the six releases features a unique monoline illustration which tells part of a story of the liquid – from the art of whisky making in release year 1, to the story of the distillery build in release year 2, to the family’s own stories past and present in release year 3, to paying a homage to Islay’s unique landscape in year 4 – and so on. To accompany the colourful, crafted bottles, a case and tasting booklet further bring the rich stories of each expression to life.
